In a bid to enhance both the quality of teaching and the syllabus, the Delhi College of Engineering has upgraded it self to an autonomous university – the DTU. The move is expected to positively impact the status of the college as a reputed institute, with cutting edge research and curriculum.
The vision behind the move is to transform the university to a world class technology university. The move starts with the introduction of 50 new PhD programs, 4 new BTech courses and 25 teaching/research fellowships.
A central idea behind the new programs is to reduce the gap between a graduating engineer and a professional engineer.
